Welcome to Cochlear Quick Tips. These Quick Tips are intended to give you “bite-sized” information that can be used when working with our products. In this edition, we will discuss MRI resources.
Successful MRI scans depend on understanding the exact implant model(s) the patient is implanted with. Did you know that your patients have easy access to that information? Here are two ways your patient can find out what Cochlear implant they have:
- Log in to their Cochlear Family account:
- Select “My Equipment”
- Then select “Implant”
- Their Cochlear™ Nucleus® Smart App (image below):
- Navigate to the Menu (3 horizontal lines in upper right-hand corner)
- Select “Settings”
- Then select “About”
Once the MRI technician receives the implant model information, they can visit MRI Guidelines for Professionals for specific imaging guidelines.
