Michelle Kraskin, Au.D., explains what she loves about the Cochlear™ Baha® SoundArc, a new non-surgical option for children with single-sided deafness (SSD) or a conductive hearing loss.

In her TECH Talk, Dr. Kraskin discusses how her patients and their parents have been loving the Baha SoundArc as a non-surgical solution with the Baha System. She says it is great for pediatric patients with single-sided deafness (SSD), microtia atresia and unilateral hearing loss. Dr. Kraskin says the SoundArc is a great option for older children who no longer want to wear the Softband, but are not yet appropriate for surgery.

The Baha SoundArc is more discrete than the Softband and has great retention that stays in place, even for an active child. The Baha SoundArc is comfortable and easy to fit to any patient’s head. It provides the same sound quality as the Softband and can be used with any of the Cochlear Baha 5 Sound Processors, unilaterally or bilaterally.
