Cochlear Case Studies Webinar: Audiology Awareness Month

Cochlear is proud to continue Cochlear™ Case Studies, a series that highlights relevant clinical and surgical scenarios surrounding the latest hearing industry topics and research. We’re excited to continue our partnership with professionals to highlight their experiences surrounding specific patients. This installment, in celebration of Audiology Awareness Month, features surgeon and audiologist teams as they discuss cases that presented as traditional but after further investigation were more complex.

It will be hosted as a live hour-long webinar on Tuesday, October 12^th at 5pm ET. The recording will be available after the event. All hearing health professionals are encouraged to attend.

Changes in candidacy criteria and patient profile have evolved to the point that a cochlear implant is typical clinical practice for adults with moderate to profound bilateral sensorineural hearing loss who no longer benefit from traditional amplification. The goal of this presentation is to review how private practice audiologists can implement cochlear implants into their practice.

Join Dr. Wilder Roberts, an Assistant Professor in Audiology at the University of South Alabama and Cochlear Implant Director at USA Speech & Hearing Center and Dr. Ginger Grant, Professional Education Manager at Cochlear, for an exciting educational session on how independent audiologists can provide complete hearing care, including cochlear implants, to their patients. This session will review the results of a multicenter retrospective study which shows speech perception outcomes similar to that reported in the literature.

Audiology Online Course Series – Foundations of Baha® Implants

Cochlear is excited to offer a new Audiology Online course series: Foundations of Baha® Implants. This 3-part educational program is designed for audiologists who are new to working with Cochlear™ Baha Systems and covers the fundamentals of Baha technology, as well as candidate selection and programming considerations. These CEU- accredited courses are each 1-hour long, delivered live via Audiology Online.

Foundations of Baha Implants: Baha 5 Technology
